Holidays in Sardinia: a journey through markets, music and traditions

Holidays in Sardinia turn the island into a winter journey of lights, music and festive moments.
December becomes the perfect time to explore towns and villages at a slower, more enjoyable pace.

In Cagliari, from 6 to 14 December, San Michele Castle hosts Santa’s workshop with installations, shows and family activities.
Wonderland returns with its wide ice rink, while the holiday market stretches between Piazza Yenne and Corso Vittorio Emanuele with crafts, street food and live music.

In Northern Sardinia, the holidays bring some of the season’s most awaited events.
In Porto Cervo, the holiday market lights up the Costa Smeralda square with nineteen wooden houses dedicated to artisans, local associations and regional producers.
It opens until 14 December, then from 18 to 22 and from 27 to 29 December, from 5 pm to 9 pm.
On 27 December at 7:30 pm, one of the highlights arrives: the Ricchi e Poveri concert, drawing visitors from across the island.

Gallura adds its own charm with markets and festive lights in Olbia, Tempio, Arzachena and La Maddalena, each offering cultural events, music and tastings.
Alghero, too, presents a full programme with scenic installations and events in Piazzale della Pace.

New Year’s Eve brings major artists and is a key moment of the season.
Cagliari celebrates with Giusy Ferreri.
Sassari hosts Max Pezzali, while Oristano welcomes Fedez.
Alghero features Gabry Ponte.
Olbia brings Marco Mengoni and Lazza, and Arzachena closes the year with Achille Lauro.

A rich, widespread and easy-to-follow programme.
Holidays in Sardinia offer a different way to experience the island—between markets, music and winter atmospheres worth the journey.
