In 1949 James R. "Jim" McQueen and Harper Hull founded "The Trojan Boat Company". By 1968, Trojan had become one of the largest manufacturers of inboard motor boats in the world up to 50 feet, employing over 700 people. Originally all boats were built of wood, the switch to fiberglass hulls forced the company to affiliate with the NYSE-listed Whittaker Marine Group, which eventually included Bertram Yacht, Trojan Yachts, Riva, Desco Marine, Kettenburg, Balboa Marine and Coronado Yachts. The Whittaker Marine Group’s total sales reached between $350 million in the early 70s. Panther is a boat of the last years of production, 1994, is located in Southern Sardinia, ready buoy, offers space, habitability and reliability total, for fishing or small cruise. Worth seeing.
